CBD and how it works:
Cannabinoids are a group of fatty compounds found in hemp but also produced by other plants and the human body. Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of 80 common phytocannabinoids produced by the hemp plant.
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a collection of cell receptors within a mammal’s body. Scientists discovered this system in the 1990s.
Phytoannabinoids work with the mammalian ECS, which is a vast receptor system. This receptor system exists in the immune system, the central nervous system, and within many organs. The ECS accepts our bodies’ own endocannabinoids as well as the phytocannabinoids found in hemp.
A human’s endocannabinoid system affects many regions of the body, including functions of the immune system, the central nervous system (including the brain), organs, connective tissue, and glands.
The ECS supports various biological tasks, including energy & balance, immune function, memory, metabolism, sleep, and the function of the autonomic nervous system.
CBD is 100% legal:
The US Farm Bill of 2014, Section 7606, signed into law by President Obama on February 7, 2014 legalized the cultivating, production, and sale of hemp and its related products in the United States.
Consult our Pharmacists:
CBD, just like any nutritional supplement or medication, should be taken only after consultation with your healthcare provider.
While CBD has few to no known side effects, it can interact with a variety of medications. CBD is metabolized in your body down the same metabolic pathway as many common medications. This can alter the medications effects as well as lead to unwanted side effects. Talk with our knowledgeable staff of pharmacist today.
